As a lead writer and narrative designer for Berlin indie studio Torpor Games, I played a key role in the development and release of two critically acclaimed text-based games that convey the myriad challenges of leading a nation.
Suzerain: Kingdom of Rizia DLC (2024); 3.1 “Sovereign” update (2025)
In the award-winning follow-up to Suzerain, players navigate the family dynamics, international relations and internal power struggles of a resource-based monarchy in the 1950s. I guided the game’s narrative from start to finish, creating characters, lore, interweaving storylines and intricately branching dialogue.

Suzerain (2020); 1.1 Update (2021)
Torpor’s debut game put players in the shoes of the president of a fledgling republic, using a fictional 1950s setting to model real-life political dilemmas. I wrote, edited and polished dialogue and narrative support, fleshing out characters and adding new scenes.
